A man was shot and killed closing night in south Phoenix over a cellphone. Eric Hernandez, 34, became out of doors a McDonald’s eating place close to nineteenth Avenue and Baseline Road while approximately 8 p.M. A man approached him and asked to borrow his cellular phone, Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said in a news release. Hernandez gave his cellphone to the person, who then ran away with it. As Hernandez chased after the thief, the person turned around and shot him, Thompson said. The gunman ran far from the scene, and Hernandez was taken to a health center where he died from his injuries, Thompson said.
Police have now not been capable of picking out a suspect, however, assume it’s miles viable. The assailant hangs around that vicinity frequently, according to Thompson.
