Betting odds provider Don Best warns of malware records breach

Last week, clients of Don Best Sports Corporation and DBS Canada Corporation pronounced receiving emails warning them of an “information safety incident” that took place last October. The incident wasn’t discovered until late December, at some stage in the Don Best companies’ integration with new owners Scientific Games.

The electronic mail claimed that “unauthorized people” had accessed a Don Best database because of a “malware attack” that happened between October 12-28, 2018. The unauthorized person(s) is believed to have accessed information which includes consumer names, addresses, phone numbers and personal names (e-mail addresses) and passwords.

The Don Best e-mail harassed that even as the database in the query also saved credit card information, “our investigation indicates that no credit card data changed into accessed or acquired.” Don Best said it’s far resetting all client passwords and has taken different “steps to remove the malware and to similarly enhance the security” of its network.
